Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Trivandrum - Kovalam (25 Kms / 1 hour)

Arrive at Trivandrum you will be transferred to Kovalam. Afternoon Trivandrum City tour of Padmanabha Swamy Temple architecture is an amalgam of Kerala style and Dravidian style, and the temple features a 100-foot tall gopuram (ornate entrance gate). Inside, in the main shrine, an 18-foot idol of the principal deity lies on Adi Shesha, in the Ananthasayanam posture , Sri Chitra Art Gallery ( Closed on Monday ) The gallery features a unique collection of traditional and contemporary paintings, including the works of Raja Ravi Varma Nicholas Roerich, Svetoslav Roerich and etc , Napier Museum ( Closed on Monday & Wednesday )  a landmark of the city, is noted for its unique ornamentation and architectural style, which is influenced by Indian, Chinese, Kerala and Mughal Schools of Architecture , Trivandrum Zoo is home to 82 species from around the world. etc. Late evening visit the famous Kovalam Beach.

Day 2
Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam (100 kms 2 .5 hrs one way)

Today after breakfast you will proceed for full day excursion to Kanyakumari the Southern most tip of India. You will visit by boat to  Vivekananda Rock Memorial, This monument was built in 1970 in honour of Swami Vivekananda, a Hindu Monk, who have attained enlightenment on the rock. The Vivekananda Mandapam and the Shripada Mandapam are the two main structures in this memorial then visit to Suchindram Temple also known as Thanumalayan. The striking aspect of this temple is that it is dedicated to the Trinity of God, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma and then we visit  Sri Padmanabhapuram Palace, is a Travancore era palace located in Padmanabhapuram . The palace is owned, controlled and maintained by the government of the neighbouring state of Kerala. This palace is older than Rambagh Palace in Rajasthan. Later return to Kovalam.

Day 3
Kovalam -Jatayu - Kumarakom ( 190 Kms/5 Hrs)

After breakfast in the hotel, We drive down to visit Jatayu Nature Park, Jatayu Rock, is a park and tourism centre at Chadayamangalam in Kollam district of Kerala. It stands at an altitude of 350m (1200ft) above the main sea level. Jatayu Nature Park holds the distinction of having the world’s largest bird sculpture. The sculpture sits at the spot where Jatayu took his last breath. It measures 200 feet long, 150 feet wide, 70 feet in height and occupies 15,000 square feet of the floor area. The statue also houses Jatayu museum where you can enjoy audio visual show (Subject to operation). And later drive to Kumarakom which is a popular tourism destination located near the city of Kottayam, in Kerala, It is set in the backdrop of the Vembanad Lake, the largest lake and it is famous for the tranquil backwaters. Arrive at Kumarakom and check in to your hotel.  Evening free at Leisure

Day 4
Kumarakom

 Early in the morning visit Kumarkom Bird Sanctuary The main attractions are local birds like the waterfowl, cuckoo, owl, egret, heron and the water duck, as well as the migratory Siberian cranes. Parrots, teal, larks, flycatchers, wood beetle, and other birds are seen here during their respective migratory seasons. After Breakfast you will take a One hour Exclusive Shikara boat ride through the scenic backwaters of Vembanad Lake

Day 5
Kumarakom – Thekkady (145 kms / 4 hours)

Morning after breakfast proceed to Thekkady which is famous for Spices and Wildlife. Periyar is South India’s most popular wild life sanctuary spread across 777 sq. kms.On arrival check-in to your hotel ,you can also consider taking Optional Elephant Ride/ Kathakali Dance performance.

Thekkady

 Early morning we visit the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where you go on boat ride (Tickets to be taken by joining the Q and will be refunded by our driver ) on a man made lake, to view the wildlife in it’s natural way During the boating you get a chance to spot some wild life like elephants, wild boars, Bisons etc. Afternoon you will be taken around some of the Plantations and explained the way various spices are grown and processed.

Day 7
Thekkady - Munnar (110 Kms / 4Hrs)

After breakfast in the hotel, proceed to  Munnar the famous Hill Station. This drive is of exceptional beauty . While driving you can have photo stops at scenic locations and even consider having tea from the local shops. On arrival check-in to your hotel Evening visit the nearby Tea plantations.

After breakfast . We visit  Eravikulam National Park ( Subject to Operation ) is famous for Nilgiri Tahr a rare mountain goat ,Tata Tea Museum( Closed on Monday ) One can observe the history and growth of tea estates in the area. Post lunch we visit  KFDC  Floriculture Centre This place is full of beautiful flowers, herbs, medicinal plants,  Mattupetty Dam (If boat operates we give you boat ride) Surrounded by the Shola forests,,  Echo Point As the name itself suggests, it is the only place in Munnar which provides a precise repetition of the echoes , Pothamedu View Point  and Blossom Hydel Park which is  a splendid location for some candid photos

Day 9
Munnar - Cochin (140 kms /4 Hrs)

After Breakfast we drive  to Cochin and check in to your hotel. we proceed for Kochi sightseeing. To start with we visit Folklore Museumshowcasing the cultural and historical artefacts of Kerala. We go onward to visit Jewish Synagogue (Closed Sat) This synagogue was built in 1568 by the Malabar Yehudans or Cochin Jewish community.and Dutch Palace (Closed Fri)  . The Portuguese had plundered many temples in Kochi. In 1555, they built the palace and presented it to King Veera Kerala Varma with the hope of establishing trading relations with the kingdom . We proceed to Fort Kochi to visit St. Francis church The St. Francis Church, well-known for its beautiful architecture and ambience, is believed to be one of the oldest churches built by the Europeans in India. and spend some time in Chinese fishing nets  – is believed to have been introduced in Kochi by Chinese explorer Zheng . Later we take you to Marine Drive for One Hour  Exclusive Sunset cruise. Rest of the day Shopping at Lulu Mall or in MG Road.

Cochin Departure

This morning we drop you at Cochin. “It has been a real pleasure, having served you for these few days. We believe that you carry back your everlasting” memories of “Way to Heaven” and hope you will visit God’s own country again through us.
