Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Chalakudi - Guruvayur - Athirampilly

On arrival at Chalakudi Railway station (Or Cochin airport) we transfer you to the hotel in Athirampilly which is approx. 30Kms from Railway Station and 50 Kms from Cochin Airport . After wash and change visit the spectacular Athirampilly Waterfalls is a scenic combination of forests and little streams. Falling from a height of 80 feet, this is one of the largest waterfalls in the state. Many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna are found in the forests of the Athirampilly it is also known as Niagara of Kerala,  . Make sure you visit the falls both from the top and bottom. Do not forget to carry your camera kit.  Passengers visiting Guruvayoor can leave for the temple at 1430 Hrs, enjoy darshan & return back to hotel.Overnight at Athirampilly.

Day 2
Athirappily - Munnar ( 140 Kms / 4 hrs )

After breakfast at hotel we proceed visit the holy birth place of Sri Sankaracharya located at Kalady, a beautiful village with rustic simplicity and serenity. After spending some time at the temple, we travel onward to Munnar, its a town and hill station in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala. Munnar is situated at around 1,600 metres above main sea level,  Munnar is also called the “Kashmir of South India” and is a popular honeymoon destination On the way we visit the most beautiful Valara and Cheeyapara Waterfalls  (Water is seasonal). On arrival at Munnar check-in at your hotel.  Evening you can visit a nearby Tea Plantation or walk around the town. You can also consider taking OPTIONAL Kathakali,  Kalaripayutu performance by paying direct.

Day 3
Munnar

After breakfast . We visit Eravikulam National Park ( Subject to Operation ) The area of the park was home to the  highly endangered Nilgiri Tahr, Tata Tea Museum
( Closed on Monday ) One can observe the history and growth of tea estates in the area. Post lunch we visit KFDC  Floriculture Centre
This place is full of beautiful flowers, herbs, medicinal plants, bonsai and various types of greens. Mattupetty Dam
(If boat operates we give you boat ride) Surrounded by the Shola forests, Echo Point. As the name itself suggests, It is the only place in Munnar which provides a precise repetition of the echoes ,Pothamedu View Point and Blossom Hydel Park this place a splendid location for some candid photos.

Day 4
Munnar - Thekkady (110 Kms/4Hrs)

After breakfast we drive to Thekkady – the dream destination set amongst the cardamom scented plantations. This drive is of exceptional beauty. While driving you can have photo stops at scenic locations and even consider having tea from the local shops. Just keep your camera ready. On arrival, check-in to your hotel. Later go on a Spice Plantation tour where local person shows how the spices are grown and processed. Here you can consider shopping for some high quality tea,  coffee , spices etc.  Evening proceed for boating at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary on a man made lake, ( Tickets to be taken by joining the Q and will be refunded by our driver ), to view the wildlife in it’s natural way During the boating you get a chance to spot some wild life like elephants, wild boars, Bisons etc.
 Overnight in Thekkady

Day 5
Thekkady - Kumarakom (145kms / 4.5 hrs).

After a sumptuous breakfast in the hotel, We drive down the hills watching the lush green mountains, bubbling seasonal streams and little towns to reach exotic Kumarakom it is  small village, Kumarakom is a popular tourism destination ,  famous for its backwater tourism. It is set in the backdrop of the Vembanad Lake, the largest lake in the state of Kerala .  Kumarakom is a cluster of small islands and lies around 40 km away from Alappuzha. The place is famous for its scenic beauty, mangrove covered lagoons It is a group of small islands on Vembanad Lake, which make it an enthralling backwater destination. Check in Hotel and relax Evening we take you on an exclusive One hour cruise onboard a Shikara type boat. You can also take OPTIONAL activities like Ayurveda Massage, Village Walk etc.

Day 6
Kumarakom - Cochin ( 60 Kms / 1.5 hrs )

After breakfast drive to Cochin. Our first stop will be at Vaikom Mahadeva temple believed to be established by Saint Parasurama.  Next we stop at Chotanikara Bhagwathy temple. After darshan we visit Folkfare Museum showcasing the cultural and historical artefacts of Kerala. After lunch stop, you have some free time for shopping either at Lulu Mallor MG Road. Later we transfer to railway station or airport for return journey.
